Welcome back to Music Monday! I hope everyone had a restful weekend, it is a new week and that means a new music video.
Ever since the BBMAs AKA The Billboard Music Awards, I have been obsessed with Ariana Grande’s new single, “Into You”.
Ever since the release of Ariana’s new album, Dangerous Woman, Ariana presents a more mature and sexier concept. The “Into You” music video is quite entertaining to watch, as if you are watching a short movie. Let’s not forget that Ariana has acting experience from the hit Nickelodeon show, “Victorious”, so her acting skills are not too shabby. Ariana’s showcases deeper vocals in this single, and usual she delivers those high notes well.
During a Twitter Q/A on Twitter, Grande stated that this song is about love and life, in her words she also mentioned how “the little things are so much more important than the bougie façade.” I couldn’t agree more!
As usual, comment and opinion are welcomed, as long as they are respectful toward other readers 🙂
See you soon!
Hint: Next week’s Music Monday will feature a song from the popular Kpop talent show, Produce 101. Stay tuned!
Today I want to talk about an event that’s happening every year in Toronto!
Doors Open is an exciting event that brings hundreds people out in the city. About 150 buildings of architectural, historic, cultural and social importance open their doors to the public for free. You can visit places such as Old City Hall, museums, TV broadcast organizations and much more.
I have been fortunate enough to volunteer for the Canadian Music Centre for a few months. This year our doors will be open again for visitors, so please stop by to learn more about the CMC. We will be open May 28 from 10am to 5pm, we are located at 20 St. Joseph Street. If you are a classical music fan, this place is for you.
We look forward to have you there! To see a complete list of places to visit, click on the link below.
See you soon!
It’s been a while since my last photography post, but now that my blog is about music and photography I will post my work on a regular basis.
I have taken a ton of photos in past couple of months because I’ve been motivated from my Instagram photography page. The amount of positive feedback I’ve received is highly appreciated because it motivates me to work harder and improve every day.
Today I will share some of the photos I’ve taken recently, I hope you all enjoy my photography 🙂
Note: My main focus as a photographer is nature and landscapes. Although, I’ve recently been broadening my scope.
This is just a glimpse of my most recent photography! There will be more to come soon.
Are you ready for summer? It finally feels like summer here in Toronto and I am excited to get some Vitamin D. You know what else I’m excited about? The summer jams, each year I have a summer song that makes me want to dance. Justin Timberlake’s new single, “Can’t Stop The Feeling”, came at the right time.
“Can’t Stop The Feeling” is one of those feel good songs that uplifts your mood and make you smile. Throughout the music video, there are clips of people dancing to the song, similar to Pharrell’s song, “Happy”. This is song is definitely the new dance craze and many people are posting countless dance videos on YouTube.
I think it is already established, this joyous song is the summer song for 2016!
The BBMAs were quite a treat last night, from Britney Spears nostalgic medley to Madonna and Stevie Wonder’s tribute to Prince.
It’s safe to say that this is the first award show I really enjoyed in a very long time, for the past few year music award shows felt dull to me. I think it helped that every performance was at its scheduled time and the awards ended right on time.
In case you missed the BBMAs, don’t fret because I got you covered.
The one and only Queen of Pop opened the BBMAs with a 7 minute medley of her greatest hits. Not only did she look amazing on stage, but she also showed the audience she can still put on a great show.
She kicked off the BBMAs with her single “Work B*tch”, then launched into her next track “Womanizer”. Other tracks she performed were “I love Rock n’ Rock”, “Breathe on Me” and personal favorite of mine, “Slave 4 You”.
Britney also took home the Millennium Award in honor of her lengthily career.Congratulations!!!
Many YouTubers are slowly making their way into the mainstream media, Troy Sivan first debuted in 2014 with his single “Happy Little Pill” since then his popularity is slowly rising. Last night, he performed his single, “Youth”. It was surreal moment for Troy, as you could clearly see the pure joy he expressed to be on stage. One his Twitter he wrote, “I really mean it, I am sobbing”.
Lindsey Stirling also had her moment, as she performed along the legendary Celine Dion. Lindsey first auditioned on Americas Got Talent, after being eliminated, she began making YouTube videos. She films creative videos showing her skills as a violinist and dancer.
Celine brought the audience to tears with her speech, talking about her children and the aftermath of her husbands death. Another touching moment for Celine was when she received her award from son, Rene-Charles.
Celine Dion was honored with the Icon Award for her lifestime achivements, after performing a cover of Queen’s song “Show Must Go On”.
Kesha will bounce back!
The legal battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke has been a turbulent time for the singer. Initially her performance was cancelled by Dr. Luke and her record label, Kemosabe Records (fearing she will use her time on stage to address her legal battle).
Kesha eventually got her wish to stand on that stage, while performing Bob Dylan’s 1964 song “It Ain’t Me Babe”. To anyone who criticized her vocal abilities, last night she proved everyone wrong!
Adele took home a win for Top Billboard 200 Album, despite her absence from last night’s awards, she didn’t forget to leave a little something for her fans and introduce her new MV “Send My Love (to Your New Lover)”.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani shared the stage on Sunday night, performing a duet together of “Go ahead and Break My Heart”. When those two were on stage, they only had eyes for each other.
Justin Bieber kept his performance low key, but made up for it with stunning…almost magical stage effects, while performing medley of singles “Company” and “Sorry”. Bieber did not seem too excited throughout the show, channeling an icy exterior. Later, Bieber stated “I don’t feel good at award shows”, that is expected after Justin posted a lengthily Instagram post of why he will no longer take pictures with fans. I guess fame can be frustrating sometimes.
P!nk got us flying high last night with her performance of “Just Like Fire” from the new Alice in Wonderland movie. There is no one better at acrobatic stunts than P!nk, watching her performance gave me flashback of her 2010 Grammy performance. What about you?
Ariana Grande is presenting a more mature side of her and her latest music! She started off with an electric keyboard solo and then jumped into her new single “Into You”. As usual, Ariana’s vocals were electrifying.
Ariana wasn’t the only who had electrifying vocals, Rihanna belted her song “Love On Brain” from the Anti album.
Last but certainly not least, is Madonna’s tribute to the legendary Prince! Madonna tamed down her image for her tribute, singing “Nothing Compares 2 You”, as photos of the late Prince appeared behind her. Shortly after, Stevie Wonder joined Madonna singing “Purple Rain”, while the arena turned purple in the Prince’s honor.
Other stars who performed last night were: Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas ft. Tove Lo, DNCE, Megan Trainor, Fifth Harmony ft. Ty Dolla $ign, The Go-Go’s and Shawn Mendes.

The time has come for Jessica Jung to spread her wings and fly with her first ever solo debut! Let’s welcome back Ms. Jung to the music scene because she proved yet again, no matter what she is faced wit, she will triumph.
It’s been almost a year and half since Jessica’s exit from SNSD and her former entertainment company, SM Entertainment. Many fans wondered what will be Jessica Jung’s next move. Will she quit the music industry? Will she focus solely on fashion and her fashion brand, Blanc and Eclare?
On January 18, 2016, Jessica posted a short video on Instagram of her in a music studio. Fans began to speculate a possible comeback for the Korean Pop star, and they weren’t wrong. On April 27, she posted a picture telling her fans she finished filming her first ever solo music video.

Welcome back to Music Monday! It’s a been a long time since I’ve said this sentence, but now I am back.
I hope all of you are excited, as much as I am to have Music Monday back! Today we will be taking a look at Good Charlotte and their comeback single “Life Changes”.
Good Charlotte were absent from the music scene since 2011, after they announced they would be going on hiatus. On November 3, 2015 they announced through Alternative Press that they will be making a comeback in 2016. Their album “Youth Authority” is scheduled to be released on July 15, 2016.
In the meantime, the band released “Life Changes” from their upcoming album to satisfy their fans eagerness to listen to their new music. Although the song is called “Life Changes”, not much has changed when it comes to their signature pop punk/alternative rock sound. This single will give listeners a nostalgic feeling of the old days, the band sings about how nothing stays the same and things change. Talk about a perfect fit for my blog transformation!
Good Charlotte will also go on tour this Fall and you know I would be the first one to purchase a ticket!
Who else is a Good Charlotte fan? Let me know in the comments box below and share your thoughts about their new song.
