Lifestyle Sundays! My Beauty/Makeup Must Haves.

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to Lifestyle Sundays!

Throughout the years, I started using products that I need in my daily makeup/beauty routine. All of the products I will share with you today are products that I repurchase on a regular basis.

I hope you enjoy this post and let’s get started!

1. Coconut oil.

This product is a life savior for my skin, not only did it make my skin more moisturized, but it also made my skin clear from blemishes. You can find coconut oil at your local natural food store and buy the one with label “organic-virgin-fresh pressed”coconut oil label. The cold winter air can dry out our skin and it is very important to moisturize your skin to bring back the moisture. I use coconut oil on a daily basis, in the morning and in the evening. I usually leave with house with nothing but coconut oil on my face. In the winter time, I typically get dryness around the mouth and I have noticed that the oil moisturizes my skin better than the actual moisturizers. Coconut oil is also good for oil pulling aka making your teeth whiter and using it as a hair mask to make your hair softer. I have become a hippie in some ways and I prefer to use natural products. I highly recommend this product, you will not be disappointed!

2. Lipstick.

I can’t leave the house without lipstick and I usually carry five different colors in my makeup bag. Color on my lips brings life to my face, the other day I did not wear any makeup and no lipstick too. I noticed that I looked very tired, as soon as I put on some lipstick I started to look more refreshed. My love for lipstick began when I was little when I watched my mom and my grandma put on lipstick. To me wearing lipstick is my definition of femininity, I like how different colors make me look a little bit different. My favorite lip products to use are the Revlon lip stains (very long lasting), Maybeline Color Elixir and The Revlon Lip butters. I love the lip stains because the color lasts on your lips so long, even if you eat or drink. The Maybeline Color Exilir is the perfect lipgloss because it is not sheer and I have mentioned in my previous beauty posts that I dislike sheer lip products. Lastly, the Revlon lip butters are amazing and so moisturizing! They are like a super pigmented tinted lip balm, I have almost every color.

3. Eyeshadow Primer.

I don’t know how I managed to go on half of my life without this holy grail product, it literally made such a huge difference for me. I have oily eyelids so whenever I wore eyeshadow, it would crease very quickly. When I discovered the Urban Decay eyeshadow primier, I didn’t have to worry about my eyeshadow creasing. I would come home from a long day and my eyeshadow would look the same as it looked in the morning. Anything that makes my life a little easier and do not have to reapply my makeup is a keeper.

4. Grease Lightening Spot Treatment.

Lush has become my new favorite beauty store, they a great selection of products and one of my favorites is the Grease Lightening Spot Treatment. I’ve always been a bit skeptical towards acne spot products, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I did not expect that this product will actually work, it is a gel and you apply it on any active breakout areas. I have noticed that when I use it the redness of the pimple is not as intense as it was the night before. If you have trouble with breakouts, check out this product because you will not be disappointed.

5. Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm.

I got this as a birthday gift a year ago and I’ve been loving this product! On a day when I do not want to wear a bold lip color, I grab this lip balm. It has a very subtle color that’s not overpowering, I also wear this a lot at the gym. It is also very moisturizing, this is probably the best lip balm that I own.

6. Eyeliner.

Eyeliner makes a huge difference when I do my makeup, it also looks good on its own without any eyeshadow. My favorite eyeliner I’ve been using is the Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer. I’ve been liking this eyeliner because it has a sponge applicator on the other end and it gives me the opportunity to create a smokey eye look.

7. Maybeline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow.

This is such a great product as an eyeshadow base or just on its own, it last about 5-6 hours, but if you add eyeshadow primer the eyeshadow won’t budge. I have used many cream eyeshadows and this one is a winner, forget everything else.

8. Cupcake Fresh Face Mask.

Yet again, another Lush product and this face mask is another product to fight acne. It is not abrasive at all, which a very good thing because I have sensitive skin. It cleans any dirt and oil on your face and I typically use this mask at the end of the week. Not to mention that it smells delicious 🙂

9. Almay Wakeup Undereye Concealer.

We all have those day when we don’t get enough sleep and the next day we look like a panda! I started using the Almay undereye concealer about a year ago and it brightens up my under eye area very well. I have laugh lines around my eyes and I noticed that it does not sink in those fine lines. So far I don’t have any complaints!

10. Dove Go Fresh Body Wash.

I am the type of person who is too lazy to put on lotion after showering, I just can’t be bothered with that. That’s why I use the Dove Body Wash because it creamy and it moisturizes my skin. Not to mention that it also has variety of wonderfully scented body washes, the one I currently use is the shea butter and warm vanilla sugar. I have a thing for vanilla scents, I am actually burning a vanilla scented candle as we speak. My room smells delicious!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, please share with my your beauty/makeup must haves! I hope everyone is having a great Sunday and I will see you soon 🙂

Friday Funday! Would You Rather Beauty Tag.

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to Friday Funday! It is time for another another fun tag post because let’s face it, those are a lot of fun!

Enjoy and I tag you guys to do this tag too 🙂

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?

My hair is very thick and frizzy when it’s not done, so I am going to pick ‘have nice hair and no make-up’. I have become more comfortable going out in public without makeup, I used to be self-conscious about it before because of my blemishes. However, now I have learned not to care about that, I am also giving my skin a break from foundations which are packed with chemicals (it’s true).

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

Ahh, I don’t even know what to pick because both options sound awful lol. OK, I think I’m going to choose the eyebrow one because with the power of makeup, you can just draw them 🙂 Voila, problem solved!

3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?

Sephora for sure because it has more variety than MAC and it has different makeup brands. I’m not a fan of MAC because I’ve heard that the face products are not good for your skin and they create some skin problems.

4.Would you rather wear lip gloss/lip liner look or 80’s perm?

I will go for the lip gloss and lip liner look because I can try to make it look, well you know…less awful. As for the 80s perm, my hair big enough, it doesn’t need to be any bigger than what it is.

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

I always make sure my blush looks natural, so I rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line. I kind of did that when I first start using foundation, ahh the days when I was newbie to makeup.

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?

Hey MC Hammer pants are cool, I would totally wear them! We’ll see how I feel about this 5 years down the line :S

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can’t be covered?

I rather have a bad orange-y spray tan because at least it is temporary, tan lines are temporary too but they last longer. I have bad tan lines on my feet from my sandals and they are always visible when I wear flats. Soo embarrassing :S
8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?
I thought about this one for while and I kept changing my answer but I finally decided to pick a bad hair color. I’ll just recolor my hair and fix the problem.

9.Would you rather have YouTube or Twitter taken away forever?

I rather have Twitter taken away forever, I’m not overly attached to Twitter so I wouldn’t care. However, YouTube is life! Haha 🙂

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?

Well, how am I supposed to do my makeup if I had no makeup brushes, so mascara, out you go.

I hope you liked this post, if you want to see more tag posts like this one, please click on the ‘like’ button.

See you soon.

Friday Funday! My Makeup/Beauty Essentials.

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to Friday Funday, it’s been a while since I’ve written a post about makeup and beauty. Today I decided to share with you my makeup/beauty essentials and products that I absolutely need.

Let’s begin.

1. Almay Clear Complexion Foundation/Concealer.

This product is an absolute life saver because it covers up my blemishes the best and it also has 1% of salicylic acid, so you get your coverage and healing your blemishes at the same time. I have have tried many foundations and concealers in the past and nothing can beat these two products. I use both concealer on days when I have a lot of blemishes and it covers me up completely. Other face products never fully covered me up well, because I have fair skin, so dark spot still showed through. On days when I do not have too many blemishes, I only use the concealer and do not be alarmed when at first it appears lighter. It blends right in and suits your skin tone.

2. Nivea Rich Moisturizing Day Cream with SPF 15.

I discovered this product two years ago and I am so glad I did because my foundation no longer looks cakey on my face. I did a major skin care no-no in university and that was not applying moisturizer before applying my foundation. It made my skin look very dry with the foundation, but this product moisturizes my face so well and it feels very light. I have very sensitive skin and many products irritate, dry out my face or cause breakouts, luckily this doesn’t have this effect on my skin. I have repurchased this product about 5 times and I keep running to the drugstore as soon as I finish it.

3. Revlon Balm Stain.

This is my favorite lip product, I love the formula and the color selection. I have tried a few lip stains in the past and nothing stains my lips as well as the Revlon Balm Stains. Even after having something to eat or drink, I still have color on my lips. I am not a fan of reapplying lip stick throughout the day, so this product saves me time.

4. Maybeline Dream Bouncy Blush.

I love putting blush on my cheeks because I love the rosy glow and the Dream Bouncy Blush is a winner. I love powder blush, but I wanted to try cream blush and I am happy to see that it does not look cakey on my skin. It blends in well on the skin and the color is not vibrant, it adds the necessary subtle color. I find that when I use powder blushes, the color looks intense on my cheeks (I’m not even putting that much). With this blush I use the amount that I want, your hand will get messy so make sure you have hand wipes.

5. Maybeline Mega Plush Volume Express Mascara.

I really like this mascara because it is long lasting and the curl of my lashes stays put all day, my experience with previous mascaras is that throughout the day my eyelashes go from curly to straight. When I use my eyelash curler, I expect to have a mascara that will maintain that curl and this mascara is a winner. Another bonus for this product is the flexible brush, therefore I can easily get those lashes on the outer corners of my eyes.

6. Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm.

On days when I feel like doing a natural makeup look, this is the lip product I will use. This is a 100% natural lip balm and the lip color feels light on the lips and it looks very subtle. The color I currently have is Pink Blossom 🙂

7. Urban Decay Eye Primer.

So far I have been sharing drugstore brands, but here is one on the high end side. I have watched many beauty gurus rave about this product and it is the best thing I have ever purchased from a high end makeup store. I have super oily eye lids, so my eye shadow creases very quickly throughout my day. I was skeptical when I used this product for the first time, I wasn’t sure if it will work. The day I wore it for the first time was the day I went out for my birthday for the whole day, when I came home my eye shadow was creased. I will repurchase this product always, it is worth it. If you are considering trying it out, just remember, a little goes a long way so use only a tiny drop.

8. Maybeline Color Tattoo.

I love these cream eye shadows because they have a long lasting formula and they do not crease super quickly like other cream eye shadows I have used in the past. I use them whenever I don’t want to do the smokey eye look and I just put these on quickly and I’m all set to run some errands or go out with friends.

9. Pure Smile Sheet Mask (Japanese Brand).

I was ecstatic when I FINALLY found an Asian beauty store because I’ve been wanting to buy some Asian makeup for a long time. To try out the masks, I bought a honey and strawberry mask. These masks have vitamin E, collagen and hyaluronic acid, when I first applied it, it felt cool on my skin. I loved the feeling and I loved how gentle it is on the skin, after I removed it I massaged the remaining liquid into the skin lightly. My skin felt very soft and refreshed, I use this mask whenever I need to give my skin the much needed nourishment.

10. Revlon ColorStay Creme Gel Eye Liner.

I like liquid eye liner, but I find that I have more control over how my eye liner look turns out if I use a gel eye liner. As long as you don’t rub your eyes, the eye liner will stay put for as long as you are out and about. I think I will choose this over liquid eye liner! Below I have posted close-up shots of eye with a winged eye liner, using this product. I edited the picture to be black and white because my camera made me look orange and that had to be fixed. Also, please excuse my winged eye liner skills, I recently started doing the winged eye liner look and I need to practice.

That concludes this post, I hope you liked it and please share with me your makeup essentials 🙂

See you tomorrow with my Avril Lavigne’s “Hello Kitty” review post!

Friday Funday! DIY Earring Organizer & Makeup Brush Holder.

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to another Friday Funday blog post, today’s post is for all of my girly followers and it is my first ever DIY project. I don’t know about you guys, but finding a way to organize my earring studs is not fun. I went to many stores trying to find the best earrings organizer, but nothing was to my liking. That’s why I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own jewelry box and since I was on a roll, I decided to make a makeup brush holder too.

I initially got this idea from good old Google, Google to the rescue, right? There were many DIYs, but one in particular caught my eye and I decided to modify some things, so it suits me. So let’s get started and I’ll explain each step thoroughly.

DIY Earring Studs Organizer

The materials you will need for your jewelry box can be found in the Dollar Store, Walmart or Target, but I bought all of my materials from the Dollar Store.

First you’ll need a plain wooden box, the reason why you need a plain one is so that you can design it to your liking. The look I chose is inspired by the bohemian/hippie style!

Next you’ll need acrylic paint, the colors I chose are black, silver and blue, but of course you can choose any colors you want.

Next you’ll need paint brushes, try to find ones that come in different sizes.

Now begin painting the entire box, the top, bottom, front, back and the sides, I decided to paint mine my favorite color, blue.

Now it’s totally up to you, but if you wish you can pain the metal edges. Mine were originally gold, but I decided to paint them silver.

Open up the box and being painting the interior, I decided to stick with blue and I painted the outer corners silver.

After waiting for a few hours for the paint to dry, draw a circle on top of the box to create the peace sign. You want to draw around circle, trying to paint a nice neat line.

When everything is done, your box will look something like this. Pretty cool, right? 🙂

We are not quite done yet, we still need to finish the jewelry box. Next you’ll need felt paper, I chose dark blue because it goes nicely with the color scheme of the box. The felt paper is very thick, so what you need to do is roll it up very tightly.

When you finish rolling it, use your hot glue gun and put glue on the edge of the felt paper and next press firmly, so that the rolls do not unroll.

The simply put the rolls inside, organize your earrings and you are done. See, that was super easy and quick to do and it was fun too. Now onto the other DIY project 🙂

Makeup Brush Holder

I am a huge lover of Bath and Body Works scented candles, but I’m always left with many glass jars. So I decided to turn one of them into a makeup brush holder, for that you will need a knife to take out the wax and liquid dish soap to wash the wax and sticky residue. With the knife, gently cut around the circle wax shape and then when the wax is loose, dump it out in the garbage bin. The next step is simply to wash the glass jar, now since this is a theme, this makeup brush holder will have a peace sign on it too.

You’ll need to cut out a paper circle, put a small peace of tape on the paper and then tape it inside the jar.

Next, try to find jewel stickers if you want some sparkle on your makeup brush holder. Simply trace around the circle cut out shape and place your stickers.

When that’s done, you are left with a fashionable and chic set.

I hope you enjoyed my very first DIY post, please share with me your recreations, I’ll be happy to see them 🙂 Now since I posted this Friday’s post late, sorry about that everyone, to make it up to you I will have a Friday Funday post next and the week after that. Friday Funday is an every other week segment, but I want to make it up to you next week for being late this week.

Let me know what you think of my DIY creations and if you plan to make your own 🙂

See you soon!

Friday Funday! 42 Beauty Questions Tag.

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to Friday Funday, today’s post is going about beauty and makeup! I don’t know about you guys, but I love doing these question tag posts.

1. How many times do you wash your face daily?

I wash my face twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. It is important for me to wash my face everyday because I wear makeup and I want to clean all of the dirt and oil off of my face.

2. What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)

My skin is oily, but lately the oil on my face hasn’t been bad. However, that may be because the cold weather has dried out my skin a bit.

3. What is your current facial wash?

Right now because I have a few of blemishes on my face, I use the Vichy Normaderm gel cleanser, it leaves my face feeling very clean.

4. Do you exfoliate?

Yes, but only once a week using the Vichy Tri-Activ mask that has exfoliating beads.

5. What brand do you use?

The brand I use is Vichy, but specifically the Normaderm line.

6. What moisturizer do you use?

I use different moisturizers actually, but the two main ones are my Vichy Hydrating Acne Care moisturizer and my Korres pomegranate balancing cream gel moisturizer, which has more natural ingredients.

7. Do you have freckles?

8. Do you use eye cream?

The only eye cream I use is Nuxe for dark eye circles, even though it’s not much I still like to use it, in case my sleep patterns make my dark under eye circles worse.

9. Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

During high school my skin was pretty good and I never broke out a lot, except for a few  blemishes here and there. However, at the moment I have a bit of acne, so I guess right now my skin is acne prone.

10. Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?

11. What foundation do you use?

I currently use the Almay clear complexion foundation, it is amazing.

12. How about concealer?

The concealer I use is also by Almay and it is the clear complexion concealer, I love it because it blends in nicely with my skin. I have very fair skin, so it is usually very difficult to conceal the redness, but this concealer is a lifesaver.

13. Do you know your undertone color?

I am not entirely sure, but I think it is a blue undertone.

14. What do you think of fake eyelashes?

I personally do not use them, but I think they are alright. I am not a fan of the really eccentric lashes where you can obviously tell that they are fake. If you use fake lashes, try to go for the natural looking ones.

15. Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?

Haha I had no idea, I just use the one I have until it is empty and ready to be thrown away.

16. What brand of mascara do you use?

Previously I used to use Rimmel lash accelerator, but now I have switched to the Maybeline Mega Plush Volume Express.

17. Sephora or MAC?

Sephore hands down! I love Sephora because they have a wide variety of products from face makeup, skincare to perfumes.

18. Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

No, I don’t.

19. What makeup tools do you use in make up application?

That depends on what kind of makeup, for face makeup aka foundation and concealer, I use makeup sponges. They help me blend in the product well, for eye makeup I use brushes, I don’t really like the sponge applicators.

 20. Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?

No I never have, but I think I’ll have to buy one soon because my eye shadows crease very quickly.

21. For the face?

For my face I have never used primer either.

22. What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?

I like warm colors, like bronze and gold, but I also love using silver and a champagne color. I don’t really like using crazy colors like blue, green or orange lol.

23. Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

Both, but it really depends on what I am in the mood for.

24. How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?

I actually haven’t done that in a long time, I am very careful now haha.

25. What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?

I love them, I don’t like sheer eye makeup.

26. Do you use mineral makeup?

No, but I want to start using it.

27. What is your favorite lipstick?

That’s a tough one because there are many that I like, but if I had to choose it would be the Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick. I love how smooth it feels on the lips and I like that it is not sheer.

28. How about lipgloss?

By far the best one I have used is the Maybeline Color Elixir, it is not sheer like other lip glosses, so that’s an A+ in my book.

29. What is your favorite blush to use?

The Maybeline Dream Bouncy Blush is my favorite, I love how well it blend in with my skin tone and it doesn’t look cakey.

30. Do you buy your makeup on ebay?

31. Do you like drugstore makeup?

Oh yeah, for sure. I even did the “I ♥ Drugstore Makeup Tag” earlier this month, here is the link (

32. Do you go to CCO’s? (cosmetic company outlets)

No, I mainly get my makeup at the drugstore or Sephora.

33. Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

No because I am not striving to be a professional at applying makeup, I just want to be good enough to apply makeup on my face. If there is anything I want to learn, I usually go on YouTube and watch a video.

34. Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

Haha, sometimes when I do my smokey eye look or try to do a winged eye liner. That winged eye liner is a tricky fella.

35. Name a makeup crime that you hate?

Overly filled in eyebrows, I can’t stand it. I honestly think it is not necessary to fill them in that much.

36. Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

I like both, I recently started taking a risk and try out different kinds. I already tried dark purple and orange, don’t worry it’s as bad as it sounds. They are really fun colors to wear, when you wanna feel edgy.

37. Which celebrity always has great make up?

Hmm that’s a tough one, but the first name that pops into my head is Mila Kunis. Her makeup always looks flawless, it is that subtle smokey eye look that I love to wear.

38. If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?

Lipstick and I choose this particular item because this has happened before, I am a lipstick girl.

39. Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

Yes, you have to be confident in your own skin and not cover up your true beauty all the time. In high school I never wore makeup, however I started around 11th grade for fun, but then I realized in university that I felt the need to wear makeup even if I go out for 5 minutes to the store. That was problematic, so this is when I decided to force myself and go out without makeup, I did a few times and now I don’t care and I go out without makeup, even if I have acne.

40. Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

I don’t like this question because it feels like I’m bragging, which I’m not. However, I do think I look good without makeup, some people tell me I don’t need to wear makeup. I do anyway because I like to glam up 🙂

41. In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?

Nooo, this question is hard, how can I possibly choose??? Ok here it goes, I love Revlon and I always will. I love everything they have, except for one lip product, but everything else is great. I am a loyal Revlon buyer 🙂

42. What do you think of Makeup?

I think makeup is great when you want to glam up for an event or just wearing makeup for fun. However, if you are wearing makeup to give yourself confidence and you don’t feel comfortable in your own skin, that can be problematic. When your confidence shines, that is when people notice you and when you feel at peace and happy with yourself. Makeup is meant to be used for fun, not as a face mask. Do not hide your face behind a ton of makeup, instead show it off. Use make up as a way to enhance your features, rather than hiding them, the more natural, the better!

I hope you enjoyed this beauty tag, in the comments box below let me know what is your favorite skincare product and your favorite makeup item!

See you soon! The next Friday Funday post is going to be a DYI project 🙂

Friday Funday! I ♡ Drugstore Makeup Tag.

Hello everyone,
Welcome to the first blog post of 2014, I am back with another Friday Funday post and I am excited. I hope everyone had a great start to the new year, it has just begun and there is a lot more to look forward to this year.
For today’s Friday Funday post, I wanted to do another fun tag that I see countless of bloggers and YouTubers do on the Internet. I am not a beauty guru, but I am a beauty/makeup enthusiast. I love to buy makeup and beauty products, I think I go a little bit overboard sometimes. Since I am such a huge lover of makeup, I thought this tag would be perfect for me. It is even more perfect because 95% the makeup I own is drugstore makeup. I could buy a higher end makeup products, but buying a lipstick for $40 seems a little bit ridiculous. When I buy high end makeup products, I prefer to buy a makeup set or kit, this way you get more for a higher price.
If you are a makeup lover like me and own a ton of drugstore makeup, then I tag you to do this tag.
1. What is your favorite drugstore makeup brand overall?
This one is hard because I like a lot of brands, but the ones that I like the most are Revlon, Maybeline and Almay.
I have been using Revlon products for years and I love their lip products and eye makeup. The eye makeup is pigmented and this is always a bonus because I dislike sheer eye makeup. As for their lip products, half of the lip products I own are from Revlon, I love how they feel and look on my lips.
I have always used Maybeline products, but it wasn’t until recently that I started buying more makeup from this brand. I am huge fan of their color tattoo cream eye-shadows, their cream blushes and their new color elixir gloss. I am finding myself checking out the Maybeline row of the makeup isle more often nowadays.
Almay is new favorite brand for me, I have used their eye makeup before, but now I love them for their face makeup. I always had trouble finding the right concealer and foundation, but now thanks to Alway my search is finally over. Phew 🙂
 2. What are your favorite face, cheek and lip products?
I’ve never had big problem with my skin when I was a teenager, but recently I’ve been having my days where my skin is breaking out more than usual. My favorite face product that has been helping is the Almay Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Spot Concealer. This is the best concealer I have ever used, it has 1% of salicylic acid that helps treat the acne, as well as conceal it. I have very fair skin, so concealing acne is a problem, but this product blends in nicely with my skin tone and conceals my blemishes.
For a favorite cheek product I’ve been loving is the Maybeline Dream Bouncy Blush. In the past I’ve always used powder blushes, but I kept seeing the advertisement for this blush and I felt intrigued. The reason for my initial hesitation towards this product was because I thought the cream consistency will make the color look cakey on my skin. I finally gave in last month and decided to get it because I had enough of powder blushes. To my surprise, this turned out to be a great product and it blends in nicely. Now I have a nice subtle rosy glow on my cheeks.
I don’t even have to think twice about my favorite lip product because it is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. This lip products solved my lip color dilemma for good. I am not a fan a reapplying lip colors every time I eat or drink, it is a hassle for me. I have tried many lip stains in the past and none of them stained my lips properly. This product is different, the moisturizing color balm feels nice and smooth on the lips and most of all I don’t have to reapply the color again after eating. The color may not be as vibrant as when it was initially applied on my lips, but there is still color. I’ll be repurchasing this product forever.
3. Least favorite product?
As much as I like Revlon, there is one product that let me down and that is their ColorStay Ultimate Suede. I like to try out Revlon’s new lip products, so I thought this lip product will be perfect because it’s been said to have a long lasting formula. I don’t think the long lasting formula part is accurate, as usual I always moisturize my lips before putting on any lip products. After I moisturized my lips and put on this color, I noticed the color was rubbing off my lips. All I had done was drink some tea and have my breakfast sandwich, I was very disappointed because as it was said I thought this lip color will stay on my lips throughout the day. Hopefully Revlon will try this again and come up with a better formula.

4. What is the best makeup bargain?
I am going to have to go for Essence, it is a new brand and it is very affordable. However, I love their eyes shadow palettes the most because they are pigmented and have a great mix of matte and shimmery color. They are also a great traveling size and they cost approximately $3. Sounds like a great bargain to me.
5. What is your favorite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)
The  underdog brand that I love is  NYC. I have been using NYC since my high school days and I think it deserves more love. I have used everything by them, except for their foundation, concealer and face/eye primer. I think the quality of their makeup is great for such an affordable brand. My favorite NYC product is their NYC Ultra Moisture Lip Wear Lipsticks, they apply nice and smooth on the lips and have a nice sweet scent. I actually love it when my lip sticks have a scent, so this is definitely a bonus.20140103-230204.jpg
6. A drugstore product that is overpriced?
The first product that pops into my head is the Revlon ColorStay Foundation which is $20 at my local drugstore. For a drugstore brand, this is a price close to a higher end foundations and that is a big no-no in my books. If it is a lower end brand, keep the price affordable. This is my only complaint, for all I know this may be a great foundation, but the price needs to be lower for a drugstore product.
7. Show your best drugstore dupe(s)!!
As I stated at the beginning of this post, I do not own a lot of high end make up, but if I had to choose then it would be the Revlon Balm Stain and the Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color Balm. I personally do not own the Clinique balm, but I did try it in a store to see if I should buy it. I personally do not see any difference between the two, so instead I would buy the Revlon balm stain.
8. Drugstore product that isn’t worth the hype?
I really don’t think EOS balms are worth the hype, I am currently using a Lush lip balm which is fantastic. However, I wanted to try the EOS balm because everyone is talking about this product, truthfully it does not moisturize the lips well. It makes them feel dry and chapped, I’ll finish using the product since I recently bought it, but I will not be purchasing it in the future.
